Snake Foil

I'm going to show you step by step how to create this Snake Foil affect.

You will need these items to get started. Base color, glue, foil, and mesh. The mesh you can get at any fabric store. Look for it in the wedding section of the store. Make sure that the mesh is big enough to show your design. The best way is to place it over your own nail to see how much of the foil will show through.

Choose your base color. I chose black to make the foil stand out more.

Apply a thin coat of your glue and let dry. dollarnailart.com has the foils and the glue.

After glue is dry it is clear and tacky to the touch. Place your mesh over the nail, not to tightly but close enough to fit to the nail.

Press your foil paper side down on the nail. You will want it in a random pattern so only cover part of the nail.

Then add desired colors. If you overlap it's OK it just adds to the affect and looks really cool.
When you are finished you have a very colorful snake pattern on your nails. YAY!

Then top coat to protect your work. I like two coats to make sure it is smooth. Now your done. Enjoy your design!
